When you have a large wall space that needs some love, we have 3 go to options for DIY wall decor: paint a fun accent wall, hang a gallery wall of frames, or hang a piece (or two) of large wall decor.

Deciding how to decorate a large wall depends on your style and on the area of your home — a gallery wall is fine for hanging in a living room over a sofa or in a bedroom above a headboard, but when it comes to large tall walls or awkward over the stairs walls, the thought of accurately hanging 10+ frames is enough to make me quit before I’ve begun (even with this quick gallery wall hanging trick). But it’s not fun to stomach the tough of dropping a lot of cash on decorating *one* wall, either.

Luckily, there are plenty of ways to DIY wall decor for large walls to get a look you love at a price that’s nice to your budget. We’ve collected about 60 of our favorite affordable DIY large wall decor ideas (plus lots more ways to use inexpensive engineering prints as large wall art HERE).
