CURTAINS
In the clip, she said the first thing you should do is get floor to ceiling curtains for your windows.
“These are critical to create a space that looks well done, better designed, and a lot more homey,” she raved.
SCULPTURAL LIGHTING
Rather than spend on overhead lights, Nina said to go for sculptural lighting.

“Sculptural lighting is one of the tricks designers have been using for decades to make a space look extremely expensive.”
She recommended heading to Etsy or Pinterest while on your hunt for inexpensive, chic lights.
“Think outside of the box. That is what makes things interesting.”
Pointing at an image of a black wall lamp aside a gold-framed painting, she explained that this works well because, “you are pairing this gorgeous, architectural, modern ‘50s pendant with something that is, of course, much more traditional.”
She added that the mid-century chair on the side and the faux fur pillow atop it bring a bougie touch.
FRESH FLOWERS
“One of the tricks designers use, and they’ve been doing this for a long time, as I have, is to bring in fresh flowers.”
And how you arrange them is important.
“What makes it more elevated and makes it look expensive is to bring in flowers and create a sculptural piece of art.”
Add levels to your bouquet by combining different kinds of plants.
DECORATIVE OBJECTS
Her last piece of advice was to bring in decorative objects, like a marble jar or ceramic vase, that have interesting shapes and textures.
“Things that are made of materials that are different than what you have in your home.”
She said adding decorative objects can turn a simple room into one that looks “worth a million dollars.”
