Pavillon Sicli in Geneva hosts vintage furniture and lamp fair
‘Le Salon du Design’ fair showcases vintage furniture, lamps, and decorative objects at Pavillon Sicli in Geneva on November 5th and 6th 2022. Rare mid-century objects will be up for sale with 33 dealers presenting their collections. Le Salon du Design is the only fair in Switzerland entirely devoted to 20th-century furniture and lamps. The fourth edition of the event returns to the modernist building after a two-year break. Specialized galleries from Switzerland, France, Romania, Belgium, and Austria will reveal their most beautiful finds dating from the 1900s to the 1990s exclusively to the fair attendance. Carefully selected vintage items by well-known designers like Alvar Aalto, Ettore Sottsass, and more will be on display.

rare mid-century items by iconic designers up for sale
In the cozy atmosphere of the Pavillon Sicli, visitors will be able to shop original and often rare icons from the past, signed by the designers. Strolling through the fair’s booths, interior design lovers, collectors, and enthusiasts will discover early versions of armchairs designed by Alvar Aalto, sophisticated floor lamps by Gio Ponti and Angelo Lelii, and radical design by the champions of the movement Ettore Sottsass and Michele De Lucchi. The know-how of Danish Modern, represented by Finn Juhl, Hans J. Wegner, and Borge Møgensen, among others, will be on display in Scandinavian wooden furniture that is still in hot demand. Lovers of natural, more rustic materials will be pleased with the alpine creations of Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Chapo, and André Sornay, or the 1950s and 1960s productions from South America. The fair will set out a few collection icons and masterpieces that will be available for purchase. Learn more about ‘Le Salon du Design’ and the exhibitors here.
