Happy Monday, buddies!
Wanted to give you a quick little tour around our living/family room with all the springtime yummies strewn about!

🌿🌸🌱

For this year’s spring looks, I was inspired by the soft pinky peach of the ranunculus flowers I love (and would for sure kill if I didn’t use faux 😩).  I don’t use tons of bright colors for my base decor (rugs, furniture, etc), but it sure is fun to sprinkle it all around with low commitment items like throw pillows and faux florals.  😉  Spruced up the couch with some peachy pink pillows and filled up the vintage dough bowl with springtime blooms!
(🌸🌿Curious about my favorite faux florals and greens?  Check out this round up [HERE]! 🌿🌸 )

If we are buddies over on Instagram [CLICK HERE], you’ll recognize those vintage bottle chandeliers I made using herb drying racks and itty bitty antique bottles.  Popped a few springs of pink flowers in each, and suddenly it’s a happy spring sitch! 🙌🏻

These DIY faux topiaries were pretty easy to make, and I did a short blog post on them [HERE] if you’d like to give them a whirl! I brought this old, chippy vintage sofa table back in from my antique store of a garage (😉), and I love how it looks flanked by these washed wood floor lamps!  (I’ll link both similar and exact sources below!)

I always say that springtime decor makes the house seem like it’s smiling, and, for me, the addition of just a few pops of pinky/peach and fresh spring greens totally transform the space without, well, totally transforming the space! 😉  That’s one of the biggest pieces of advice I give my design clients–if you are on a budget, choose neutrals for the big ticket items like furniture and flooring…and then, when you get the itch to switch, you can do so without breaking the bank by adding a couple seasonal throw pillows, a few pops of color via florals, or maybe an inexpensive blanket or DIY project.  Over the years, we’ve been on all different sizes of budgets, and this method of decorating works for me no matter where we were financially.  🙌🏻  Neutral base + pops of inexpensive seasonal color = win win.

One of my favorite little spring touches was adding a few peachy pink faux ranunculus blooms to the book wall.  She deserves a little spring happy, too.  🌸😉🌸  (If you’d like a DIY tutorial on this book wall installation, snatch up a summer issue of Cottage White magazine and flip to the very back page…my DIY article is there! 🙌🏻)

It’s no secret that I love to collect vintage dishes, and I have done so for almost 12 years now.  One of my first collections centered around aqua pottery (thanks to my MIL for the aqua-inspo!), and I thought it would be a fun pop of color to sprinkle some happy spring blue in with my vintage book collection on the open shelves above our TV.  Topped it all off with one of my favorite wood signs by Freebird Co-Op and vintage corbels from The Simple Farmhouse, and it’s ready for spring!

Thanks for coming along for a tour of our home all dressed up for spring!
Tell me, do you change out your decor seasonally, or do you prefer to keep it the way you love for longer periods of time?  I’m curious to know if y’all get the “itch to switch” as I call it… 😉

Come say hello over on Pinterest–I spend lots of my kiddo’s nap times on Pinterest (when I should be cleaning…..shhhhh…..don’t judge….😉), and I’d love to see you there!
